ABOUT RADA
Rada Zinchuk, born in 2007, Minsk, Belarus, is a passionate artist whose journey spans multiple creative areas. After immigrating to Canada in 2013, Rada immersed herself in the performing arts, exploring vocals, piano, and drama. However, her artistic path took a distinct turn when she joined the Claude Watson Film Arts Program at Earl Haig Secondary School (Toronto) in 2021.
At Earl Haig, Rada honed her craft by working with other student filmmakers to create numerous short film projects, which were showcased at the school's Suspense, Short & Sweet, Film Arts Challenge and Film Gala festivals. Extending her filmmaking outside of the classroom, she also participated in the TIFF Next Wave 48-Hour Film Challenge, Zoom International Film Festival and the Toronto Youth Shorts Festival. As a dedicated and detail-oriented student filmmaker, Rada strives to communicate impactful stories through screenwriting, directing, cinematography, sound design, and editing, always aiming to bring a unique voice to each project she undertakes.
Looking ahead, Rada envisions a career that embraces collaboration with like-minded creatives who share her passion for art. She aims to continue exploring new narratives, pushing the boundaries of her filmmaking craft, and creating films that resonate deeply with audiences.
