ABOUT RADA

Rada Zinchuk is a Toronto-based student filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist studying in the Image Arts: Film (BFA) program at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). Dedicated and detail-oriented, she works across sound design, editing, cinematography, directing, and screenwriting to create immersive, emotionally grounded films.

Highlights:

Rada's work has been showcased across several festivals and competitions, including the Toronto Met Film Festival, NYA x Reel Asian Film Festival, TIFF Next Wave 48-Hour Film Challenge, Skills Ontario Competition (TV & Video Production), Toronto Youth Shorts, and VISIONS International Film Festival (formerly ZOOM).

Background:

Her formal training began in the Claude Watson Film Arts Program at Earl Haig Secondary School (2021-2025), where she created numerous individual and collaborative short films alongside other aspiring filmmakers. Rada's filmmaking is further enriched by a diverse background in music, performance, and visual arts, giving her a versatile approach to storytelling.

Rada aims to build a career defined by meaningful collaboration with passionate creatives. Driven to continuously evolve as an artist, she utilizes her multidisciplinary roots to push creative boundaries and create work that resonates deeply with audiences.
